All About DDVP.

Old Chemical New Look
There is a stand by treatment that’s been around almost as long as the bed bug. Somehow products containing DDVP has escaped the regulatory hatchet. The technique here calls for warm air (say 90 or so) being blown over the strip which helps activate the active ingredient and it then floats around the room killing bed bug adults, nymphs and their eggs. The biggest drawback to this service is that rooms being treated needs exposure to the DDVP strips for at least 72 hours for the live bugs and 2 weeks for the eggs (I would do 3 weeks for all, just in case). This is a small price to pay however considering the cost will be much lower than the hundreds or thousands of dollars people are paying with other treatments. When the 3 weeks are up dispose of pesticide strip according to directions after completing treatment. Air room out after treatment is completed, for 24 hours, by opening windows, and using fans to circulate air.
